Hedin Mobility Group acquires Motor-Car Group from Wiesenthal Autohandels AG
Hedin Mobility Group expands into Central and Eastern Europe through the acquisition of Motor-Car Group with 17 dealerships in Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
MÖLNDAL, SWEDEN, 19 May 2022 –– Hedin Mobility Group AB (publ) today announces that it has reached an agreement with Austrian Wiesenthal Autohandels AG to acquire all shares in Motor-Car Bratislava spol. s.r.o. (“Motor-Car Group”).
Motor-Car Group retails and provides after sales services for passenger cars, trucks and buses through an extensive automotive retailer network with 17 dealerships in Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic. The company represents 15 leading brands including Mercedes-Benz, Kia, Hyundai, Volvo, Citroën, Opel, Fiat, Honda, Alfa Romeo, Jeep and MAN. In addition to its leading retail position, Motor-Car also operates an extensive after sales business in major cities in the region.
In 2021 Motor-Car employed 1,100 people and sold approx. 10,000 vehicles, with total net sales of approx. MEUR 455.

The transaction is subject to approval from competition authorities. Transfer of business is expected in the third quarter 2022.
