Hedin Mobility Group completes the acquisition of four Mercedes-Benz dealerships in London
The leading mobility provider grows with Mercedes-Benz and establishes its first own retail operation in the UK.
MÖLNDAL, SWEDEN, April 3, 2023 –– Hedin Mobility Group has completed the acquisition of four dealerships in South London from Mercedes-Benz Retail Group UK Ltd that was announced on November 24, 2022. The transaction comprises four attractive locations – Brooklands, Dartford, Croydon, and West Bromley – with a combined broad portfolio of passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and aftermarket services.
The businesses of the four dealerships – employing some 360 people in total – were transferred to Hedin Mobility Group on April 1, 2023, and are from that date organised under Hedin Automotive Ltd, a fully-owned subsidiary to Hedin Mobility Group AB (publ).
Hedin Mobility Group has represented Mercedes-Benz since the company was founded in 1985. Following the completed acquisition, the Group now sells Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, and trucks in a total of seven European markets. With more than 60 Mercedes-Benz sales points, Hedin Mobility Group is one of the brand’s largest retailers in Europe.
