Hedin Mobility Group continues to invest in Ford
Ford was one of the winners in Sweden during the fourth quarter of 2021. The brand delivered its best quarter in ten years, in terms of market shares, for both passenger cars and commercial vehicles. One of the key factors to the success in 2021 and why Ford is well positioned in the market going forward is a dedicated dealer network. Therefore, the decision has been made to continue to invest heavily in the establishment of Ford dealerships in strategically important locations in Sweden.
Hedin Mölndal Bil AB, a subsidiary of Hedin Mobility Group AB (publ), and reseller of Ford in Sweden, is now investing in six new facilities in Stockholm/Akalla, Uppsala, Bromma, Borås, Alingsås and Varberg.
Hedin Mölndal Bil AB delivered approximately 6,800 new cars in 2021 and had a total turnover of approximately SEK 2.9 billion. With this further investment, the business will continue to generate strong growth, while also strengthening the position for Ford in the Swedish market.
"Since the start in 2016, we have experienced some fantastic growth together with Ford. It's a bit extraordinary to be part of a journey like this. Today we have 15 dedicated Ford facilities and with the additional business we are growing approximately 50% over a relatively short period of time," says Anderz Larqvist, CEO Hedin Mölndal Bil AB.
Tuve Bygg AB will develop and build all facilities except the one in Borås, which will be built by Castellum.
